party

If you’ve been to a party or a club, chances are you’ve heard the phrase “now the party don’t start til I walk in.” This iconic line comes from the chorus of the song “Tik Tok” by Kesha, which was released in 2009. The song became an instant hit and the phrase became a popular catchphrase used by party-goers worldwide. But where did this phrase come from? What does it mean? In this article, we’ll explore the story behind “now the party don’t start til I walk in” and its impact on popular culture.

The Origin Of “Now The Party Don’t Start Til I Walk In”

As mentioned earlier, the phrase comes from the chorus of “Tik Tok,” a song by Kesha. Kesha, who was relatively unknown at the time, wrote the song with Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco. The song was released as a single from her debut album “Animal” in 2009 and quickly climbed the charts, reaching number one in eleven countries. The phrase itself is a boastful statement that implies that the party only becomes exciting once the speaker arrives. It’s a play on the idea that the party starts when the first person arrives, but in this case, the speaker is claiming that they are the most important person at the party.

The phrase quickly became a cultural phenomenon, with people using it to describe everything from their personal lives to their professional careers. The Controversy Surrounding Kesha And Dr. Luke

Despite the success of “Tik Tok” and the phrase “now the party don’t start til I walk in,” Kesha’s career has been marred by controversy. In 2014, she filed a lawsuit against her producer, Dr. Luke, alleging that he had sexually assaulted her and emotionally abused her. The lawsuit led to a legal battle that lasted several years, with Kesha fighting to be released from her contract with Dr. Luke’s record label. In 2016, a judge denied Kesha’s request to be released from the contract, but the case sparked a larger conversation about the music industry’s treatment of female artists.
